About me
Julie Laurendeau is a queer, Métis writer born and raised on Treaty One territory and currently residing in Montreal. She recently completed an Honours Psychology degree at the University of Winnipeg with a focus on Social Psychology and social media. She won the 2021 Ron Norton Prize for writing the best Psychology Honours thesis for her work on social comparison processes on Instagram. Julie was longlisted for the 2022 CBC Nonfiction prize and shortlisted for the 2023 GRITLit writing contest. Julie is also currently working on a debut novel and a collection of essays.
